Historical Sundial replacement & restoration

Donation protected
Friends of Isabel Cowe:-

Our ancestor Isabel Cowe was a pioneering Suffragist who organised a votes for women March from Edinburgh to London in 1912.

The Sundial which was originally made in 1931 commemorates Isabel Cowe’s life and is in need of replacement and restoration.

We have managed to secure the renowned Artist Jill Watson to create the sculptures however we lack the funds for the project. Jill Watson created the Black Friday Sculptures in Eyemouth and St Abbs and we are sure her work for this project will gain media attention and great interest from the wider public.

This is a historical restoration which will be visited by many people from the local community, including schools.

We are hoping to raise enough to replace the Sundial and have additional pieces to commemorate Isabel Cowes amazing life.

Kind Regards
