History in the Making for Afghan Girls’ Education at Zabuli Education Center - Urgent Funding Needed for Winter School Session
RRH is now educating Afghan girls year round in the face of ongoing restrictions on girls’ education. We are thrilled to have the majority of our K-6 grade girls for all 12 months of the year, and have significant financial needs to make it possible.
Urgent funding is needed to operate three additional months, during Afghanistan’s typical winter break (January through March).
Funding supports safe transportation to and from school, meals and snacks for girls in school, and heating the whole school through the harsh winter temperatures.
$35 can sponsor a girl's education for a month
$50 can cover snacks for the girls for a week
$90 can provide heating for the school for a week
$105 can sponsor a girl's education for winter session
$200 can cover two weeks of transportation for girls to and from school
$500 can provide winter coats for 50 students
Razia’s Ray of Hope is running additional school sessions for all K-6th grade girls to maximize their amount of time in the classroom.
Afghanistan’s extended school break runs January through March instead of many country’s extended break during summer months. This period, typically a time of rest during the nation’s coldest months, has now become a critical opportunity for Afghan girls to continue their education.
An incredible 550 girls, almost 75% of our K-6th grade student body, are choosing to attend this optional winter session. This speaks volumes not only about Afghan girls’ determination and commitment to education but about the commitment and support they receive from their parents as well.
Please help us make the most out of this remarkable opportunity for Afghan girls by donating today, ensuring these girls receive continuous support and necessary resources for this optional additional learning.
