Hit by Fraud Contractor as seen on CBC news

Hi my name is Laurie. I am asking for support. My plan was to retire at my cottage because I cannot afford to rent in my retirement. I have been saving for years and used that money to make my cottage livable. Then I hired a contractor that talked the talk and walked the walk and I was excited to have my only future home that I can afford, renovated only to have the contractor walk away with all of my money. He did more damage than where we started and all that is left is an empty shell that is not suitable to be lived in. I worked in the trade for 43 years but a debilitating medical condition forced me to retire early which cut my pension in half.

I have no other means to fix my cottage and I cannot afford to rent long term, so I am asking for all the support I can get so I can overcome the issues to fix my cottage and make it a home. I really appreciate any and all help. Thank you
