I truly thought my fiance had died and this is when my world and my heart stopped. I told him "See you soon, ride safe, I love you" and then got a call that he was in a horrific accident. I instantly dropped to my knees and my heart fell into my stomach. I wondered, "Is he alive?, Will he remember me?, Does he even know what's happening?". The guilt that struck me knowing he was alone was unbearable. The love of my life was possibly dead or dying and I could not do anything. My heart was tearing into a million pieces and being stomped on. I began to have panic attacks, and I bawled my eyes out, knowing I would have to be strong enough on my own because he could not be there. Watching his lifeless, bloody body roll in was like watching a movie. I could not believe my eyes while sobbing.
This is just part of our story...
I am fundraising for my fiance, Calvin, who was riding his motorcycle when he was pulled in front of by a negligent USPS mail truck driver on July 31st, 2022. Calvin has no medical insurance. He was abiding by all traffic laws and was wearing his helmet and riding gear.
He has no medical insurance and has suffered extensive injuries. He broke his left shoulder blade and his right arm in three different places. He needed two different surgeries with plates and screws, shattered his wrist and five fingers on his right, crushed and tore his muscles and tendons, broke a rib, suffered road rash to the legs, chest, and neck, and split his eyebrow open. He even needed a blood transfusion.
