In the heart of the Loyola campus, there's a place that warms more than just bellies – it nourishes souls. For 8 years, our beloved community kitchen has been a beacon of hope and sustenance for all who enter its doors. Today, we're reaching out to you, our compassionate neighbours, to help us ensure that this vital lifeline remains strong.

Every day, rain or shine, our dedicated staff and volunteers gather in the kitchen to prepare nutritious, vegan & nut-free meals with love and care. For many students, especially those facing financial challenges, a warm meal can mean the difference between focusing in class or going hungry. We believe that by providing nourishment, we're not just filling stomachs; we're empowering minds.

Research shows that access to nutritious food is essential for optimal cognitive function and academic performance. When students are hungry, it's difficult for them to concentrate, retain information, and excel in their studies. By supporting our kitchen, you're not only feeding hungry stomachs but also investing in the education and future success of our students.

However, keeping our kitchen running smoothly comes with its challenges. From rising food costs to necessary equipment maintenance, the expenses add up quickly. That's why we're turning to you, our community, for support.

With the addition of breakfast service in September of 2023, we now serve 10 meals per week, feeding an average of 350 people every single weekday. We do this on a tight budget of $900 per week, or $0.51 per portion.

Your donation, no matter the size, will make a tangible difference in the lives of those we serve, including our university student community. Here's how your generosity can help:
