Hivesmiths

Hi, my name is Charlie. I am a high school senior from NH starting a nonprofit dedicated to helping with the declining bee population. If the bee population continues to decline the price of many of our favorite foods will skyrocket. Or even disappear from your local supermarket entirely. This would affect 87 of the world's leading food crops, including but not limited to avocados, berries, apples, and even chocolate.
Although not an endangered species yet, honey bees are well on their way to being one. Many elements play into the decline, like pesticides, parasites, and disease. One of the biggest is urbanization taking away their habitats. If the bees are losing their homes, we decided to build them new ones.
Every cent of the money raised goes toward building Hivesmith Pollinator Homes. The homes are wooden structures planted all around New Hampshire to support bee colonies. These colonies will pollinate all the farm life around them getting more fruits and veggies around the world.
Every cent donated is beyond appreciated.
