Wheelchair Lift Needed!

Traci suffers from psoriatic arthritis that limits her ability to stand or walk for more than a few minutes. Because of her recent battle with cancer, she was forced to be taken off the medications that control the arthritis. She is now cancer free, but cannot take the arthritis medications anymore because they increase the risk of the cancer returning. This means her arthritis will not improve and will, most likely, continue to progress over time.

She uses a power chair about 85% of the time, but is currently unable to use the chair outside her home because there is no way to transport the chair.

The power chair weighs slightly more than 250lbs, making it impossible to lift into a vehicle and Traci is unable to push the chair up a ramp and into the vehicle herself, leaving her dependent on others whenever she needs to go somewhere. Even with the aid of others, it is extremely difficult to load the chair into a vehicle using a ramp.

We are looking to raise the funds necessary to equip her Saturn Vue with a wheelchair lift like the one seen in the photo. This will allow Traci to load the chair into her vehicle on her own, giving her the freedom to go to doctor's appointments, grocery shopping trips, or other events on her own.

Cancer may have taken away her ability to walk, but it doesn't have to take away her ability to live her life. Please help us raise the funds needed to give her back her freedom.
