United groups for deportee reintegration and fight against COVID19, join up!
We are a network of deportees and returnees organizing together across Mexico under the threat of COVID-19. We need your help to keep up the fight.
Who We Are:
Unidos is the first network from the deportee-returnee community now living in Mexico working together in solidarity across the country in order to help support the well-being and reintegration of our transnational brothers and sisters arriving from the United States. We are located in Mexico City, in the collective Deportados Unidos en la Lucha, and in Tijuana in the organizations of Puente TJ United, Dreamers Moms, and the Borderline Crisis Center.
Why this Campaign:
This is our first joint effort to come together as a response to the emergency we are facing under the COVID-19 pandemic. We are asking for support for a community emergency fund to support returned and deported community members who are a part of one of our collectives.
With this money, we will support people being returned to Mexico with the following needs:
a) Food and supplies
b) Living expenses, including keeping the lights on, paying water and gas and helping support rent as needed.
c) Medical expenses for testing, urgent care, and possible hospitalization
Each donation can help with the following:
$5 will provide one meal for one person
$25 will provide for the groceries for one person for a full week
$35 will support a person with one medical appointment
$50 will support a person with living expenses for one month
*Each donation of $50 or more automatically includes a gift of thanks consisting of a bag made by Deportados Brand and a note of appreciation by each group.
Our groups came together to help others like us, facing an unknown future in practically a new country. Life goes on after deportation, but under the threat of COVID-19, we are facing new challenges of basic survival. Therefore anything you can do to help support us during this time is greatly appreciated!

a) Necesidades alimenticias
