Hi, I'm Cass, a 16 year old high school student with a belief that everyone should have access to healthy, reliable food. Especially children. Unfortunately, over one in four Canadian youth live in food insecure households . That's why, in early July of 2024, I will be setting off to solo-hike the entirety of the East Coast Trails in Newfoundland -- a whole 336km. All money raised will be donated to the Community Food Sharing Association , a non-profit organization that works to raise and distribute food to foodbanks across Newfoundland, as well as finding ways to help people break out of poverty.

Through an ever-growing variety of long distance adventures (including 3 ultra marathons and a handful of overnight hiking trips -- one of such being a 100km solo hike on the East Coast Trails last September), I've learnt the importance of proper nutrition. Nobody should be held back by food insecurity. This is my goal and whole hearted belief. With every $10 donated, the CFSA leverages $205 worth of food to those in need. Every donation -- regardless of size -- is impactful.
