For the past 4 years, there has always been a litter of kittens once or twice a year at a pair of rent houses on the medical school property. Med students have often fed and loved on these babies. Recently, I was informed that there are "a ton" of cats out there. I remembered seeing about 5 at a time over the years, so I went to check it out. Within the first 5 minutes I counted 31 cats, ranging in age from 6 weeks to a couple of years old. I knocked on the doors to the houses and spoke to the tenants. The tenants claimed that they aren't their cats, they aren't feeding them, and they aren't resposible for them. They also told me that its more like 40 cats. They agreed to let me take in the friendly ones to get adopted and get the rest of the more wild ones fixed and released. We are getting these cats fixed at Robinson's Rescue which is a low cost spay/neuter clinic. A female cat is $58 and a male cat is $48 (this includes a rabies vaccine) Feral cats that are brought in feral traps are $15 cheaper. So far, we are about half way done. Two of the kittens have gone to fabulous homes and the other 8 are still in foster homes. A few of the adult cats are super sweet too and will go up for adoption. If you can please spare a few dollars, we would greatly appreciate it. Thank you so much my fellow animal lovers! If you want to adopt a cat or kitten please contact me :)

All remaining proceeds will divided and donated to Shreveport Bossier Animal Rescue and HSNWLA locally in Shreveport.
