Over the past 32 years, The Factory Theater has never backed down. We’ve fought our way through recessions, relocations, and a once-in-a-century pandemic, always bouncing back stronger than before. Unfortunately, that doesn’t mean the road ahead is easy.

Chicago’s storefront theater community has been contracting. Shrinking houses and rising costs have forced a lot of good companies to fold. Companies that had proved their worth and earned their spot.

We’re not going out like that.

A gift to our Fighting for Our Future campaign will help us:

• Improve stipends for artists

• Elevate new voices

• Provide classes and mentorship to inspire and develop the next generation of Chicago playwrights

• Expand Overtime programming to supplement our mainstage season

Is this a lot to ask? You bet it is. You work hard for every dollar you earn. But we believe in you, just as you believe in us. The appetite is there. The people of Chicago NEED original, affordable, no-limits storefront theater. With your help, The Factory will feed that need now and for years to come.
