Help Amanda Fight Cancer

Donation protected
Amanda Tamaccio, an elementary/middle school teacher and local musician, was recently diagnosed with breast cancer at the young age of 31 after she suddenly found a large lump in her right breast. She is currently preparing for a double mastectomy on December 17th with no reconstruction due to a chance of necessary radiation treatment. There is a small suspicious lump in her left breast as well. The findings of surgery will determine the stage. Once she heals from surgery she will undergo chemotherapy as the nature of her cancer is aggressive with a high chance of recurrence. An MRI has shown one lymph node suspicious of malignancy but surgery will determine this and exactly how many cycles of chemo she will need. Amanda’s final treatment plan will include a pharmaceutically induced menopause for 7 to 10 years, compromising her plan of having children in her mid 30s. She will also have a second surgery of delayed reconstruction when she is ready.

This diagnosis has turned Amanda’s life completely upside down. Before this awful news she was enjoying her job as a Music teacher and Private lessons Instructor, and considering moving to California with her band Star Chamber to pursue her dreams. Now she is fighting for her life. Amanda has a kick ass support system in the local music scene, the wonderful school she works for, the awesome students she teaches and their families, her caring friends, and her amazing family. Let’s show Amanda how much we love and support her by raising enough funds to help her get through this. Donations will be used to pay for bills and meals during her unemployment, any medications or treatments that may not be covered, accessories such as wigs and prosthetics, financial aid for her caretakers, therapy methods for physiological trauma, etc. We can eliminate her stress of finances so she can focus on getting her beautiful and impactful life back! Thank you in advance to anyone who donates. It will mean the world to her and every little bit helps. Amanda is a little ball of fire who is adored by everyone; especially her students, her two cats, and me. YOU GOT THIS MIMI!
