Ultimo Workers Relief Fund

Workers of Ultimo Coffee are calling on our community to contribute to a relief fund! We are asking for support in preparation for loss of income resulting from concerted actions that may be necessary to reach a fair contract settlement.

We have been bargaining for our first union contract with Aaron and Elizabeth Ultimo for over a year. The Ultimos have made this process exceedingly difficult for us by scheduling sessions that cut into both the opening and closing shifts, despite multiple requests to make sessions accessible, and not speaking at the bargaining table during negotiations. Already two other Philly coffee shops, ReAnimator and Elixr, have settled on strong first contracts that benefit their employees and the company, but Aaron and Elizabeth continue to resist meeting these new industry standards.
