Sock it to me - Pulling Our Socks Up for RFS Volunteers ©
Woy Woy Country Women’s Association are proud to announce our latest fundraiser! In collaboration with Central Coast Disaster Relief, Workin’ Gear Gosford and Wilderness Wear we are pulling our socks up for the Firies!
Central Coast RFS Volunteers need fire-rated or fire resistant socks! RFS Volunteers are not currently supplied socks as part of their ongoing uniform and are left to purchase these essential items out of pocket. There are 52 RFS Brigades on the Central Coast alone, equating to approximately 2000 volunteers in need of them right now.
Our $20,000 goal will enable us purchase at least one pair for each Central Coast RFS Volunteer! The socks themselves are Australian made from 83% Merino wool and provide much-needed fire resistance for volunteers on the front line.
To make this possible, we need your help! Please give what you can and help us reach our goal to keep our Central Coast Firies safe!
