Handicapped Van

Ashley is a 33 year old young girl who was born with a lot of medical problems. She has Cerebral Palsy, Scoliosis, and Hydrocephalus, which is fluid on the brain. I am Ashley's Aunt and she has lived with me since she was a baby. I have cared for and supported her all of her life. My desire is to continue to do so as long as I am able however that is becoming increasing difficult as I have needed to quit one of my jobs to be able to cotinue to care for her. I am diabetic and was told to either quit one of my jobs or to give her up due to my health. Giving her up is not an option for me because I love her as if she were my own. I am now at the point of needing to get a new van for Ashley. In the past I have always purchased a used van to carry this through, however this last van has been costing way to much for repairs. It is time that I need to begin looking for another vehicial for her. The cost of new van needs to be modified with a wheelchair ramp and safely chair clamps can run anywhere between $48,000 - $65,00 due to the modifications needed to accommodate Ashley's needs to be transported to Dr. appointments or to go anywhere. I am trying to raise $15,000 if possible or more if able to put towards this purchase. I realize this is a lot and I really understand if people are not able to help. I do not like asking for help and this is extremely difficult for me to do, however my friends encouraged me to make this page as a way to help provide for my niece.
