Louisville Shooting Victims' Fund
Donation protected
We are families of over two decades of previous mass shootings from across this country. Our hearts are breaking for the victims and survivors of the mass shooting at the Old National Bank in Louisville, Kentucky where 5 people were murdered and 8 others were wounded/injured on April 10, 2023.
Our families of previous mass shootings have been re-victimized when nonprofits say they are collecting donations for victims but do not actually give donations directly to victims. VictimsFirst's philosophy is very different. We believe in full transparency, honoring donor intent and providing the victims the opportunity to choose for themselves how to spend your generous financial gifts meant for them.
We, VictimsFirst have started this fund to make sure that 100% of what is collected goes DIRECTLY to the victim base so the victims’ families and those wounded/injured are protected from fraud and exploitation. You can read more about what we do and who we are at www.victimsfirst.org.
VictimsFirst will distribute the donations we collect directly to the legal heir of those murdered and those who survived. We are hoping to raise $65,000.00 so that each person directly impacted by this mass shooting in Louisville can receive $5,000.00. If we exceed this amount, we will still divide the final amount collected equitably.
Since we are volunteers and are managing multiple funds due to the rash of mass shootings, we will divide what is collected equally between this group of victims/survivors. We are currently also collecting donations in a separate fund for the victims/survivors of the mass shooting at the Covenant School in Nashville, Tennessee.
Survivors who were not physically injured can seek direct emergency financial assistance through our National Mass Shooting Victims’ Fund and can apply on our website. This way, everyone directly impacted can receive direct financial help during this excruciating time.
We will guarantee that your financial gifts will go Directly to the victim base. We are here for them. We do not take any admin fees. Every penny you donate will go directly to victims/survivors.
Thank you for your compassion and kindness. All donations are kept in a separate bank account specifically for the victims of the Louisville Bank Shooting. VictimsFirst's EIN is 32-0656956.
