Rea’s Road to Recovery…
Donation protected
Hey everyone, my name is Bernie and I am the brother of my beautiful sister Rea. I’m doing a fundraiser to help raise some money for my sister Rea’s road to recovery.
On December 29, 2023, my sister Rea, suffered an unthinkable tragedy. At the young age of 47, she suffered a massive stroke, leaving her paralyzed on the left side of her body. It was discovered that she suffered a hemorrhage in her brain that led to her stroke. She was initially admitted to the Cortellucci Vaughn Hospital in the Intensive Care Unit and is currently recovering in the stroke unit at Trillium Health Partners in Mississauga. At this moment, she’s trying to regain some mobility with physical and occupational therapy.
Throughout all of this, my sister is doing her best to accommodate to her new reality. Through it all, she still smiles, laughs, and tells jokes to the best of her ability.
Prior to this, my sister lead a full and happy life. As a mother, wife and a new grandmother, she is bubbly and the joker of the family. Her friends describe her as one of the most genuine kind hearted people you will ever meet, a true “ride or die” gal. The person who will always go to bat for you in any situation. Back in our younger days my sister would alway protect me, from people would wanted to beat me up, and whenever I needed someone to talk to, she was always there for me.
I love my sister and I truly want to help her recover anyway I can. My sister is one strongest and toughest woman I know. I know that the road ahead is going to be a difficult one, but I know she will get through this.
Your support would be greatly appreciated, any amount, no matter how small, will make a significant difference. The funds raised will go to Rea’s rehabilitation, medications, home modifications, home care, and medical equipment.
Over the next few months, I will provide regular updates on Rea’s progress. Thank you all for your support and consideration.
