Ho-a's First CD
Donation protected
Aloha, this is Kamakoa, Kihei and Sean from the band Ho-a. We’ve been playing music together now for ten years. Individually we have all been a part of several music projects over the years and have been a part of the Hawaiian music scene for years. We will post updates and our personal bios on this webpage soon.
Friends and family have asked us for years to produce an album of our own, we feel that the time has come to do just that. To record the mele that honors our families, our kupuna and the legacies that they have given to each of us.
Hawaiian music has provided Ho-a with the opportunity to fulfill our own kuleana and to support others with theirs. It has also given us the opportunity to perform, learn and interact with some of Hawaii’s greatest artists. We want to honor those moments through the recording of our original as well as family songs; songs that we will pass on to our children and grand-children to show them that Hawaiian music is an important part of fulfilling kuleana to our ohana, our community and our lahui.
We humbly ask for your support in raising $7,000 to assist us making this CD a reality. With the support of Na Hoku Hanohano award winning engineer Dave Tucciaronne, this CD will be a retrospect of our individual and collective talent and expression of kuleana as musicians, fathers, sons, and positive contributing members of our Hawaiian community.
For your donations you will get the following:
$20 - Physical CD as soon as it's in our hands...
$50 - Physical CD and T-shirt
$100 - Signed Physical CD, T-Shirt, and your name in the album credits.
$500 - Signed Physical CD, T-Shirt, and your name listed as associate producer (three spots available).
This CD project will allow us to document our musical heritage and legacy for our famliy, friends and community and will give anyone who is interested the opportunity to view who we are, where we come from and what we sing for.
Me ka haʻahaʻa o ka naʻau, mahalo a nui for supporting us.
Your friends,
