Hodgekin's Lymphoma (No Health Card)

Hello, everyone. My name is Angkon Biswas, and I live in Mississauga, Canada. I'm 31 years old. My parents, Amal Kumar Biswas and Ambalika Biswas migrated to India in 1992. I was born in Kolkata, India, where I completed my schooling, engineering degree, and MBA, consistently earning strong grades. I moved to Canada in October 2021 after being accepted to study here, using my Indian passport.

In 2022, however, the Indian consulate in Toronto denied my passport renewal and revoked it on allegations that I was a Bangladeshi national because of my parents' backgrounds. While my parents have since obtained Indian citizenship under the CAA 2019, the Indian embassy has not addressed my situation.

With my passport revoked, my Canadian work permit, which was only for 13 months, has expired. I applied for an extension in August 2023 but haven't received any response from IRCC.

My health has recently deteriorated; I’ve been diagnosed with Hodgkin's Lymphoma after tests showed swollen lymph nodes. Without a valid work permit, I don’t have a health card and can't afford treatment. I'm struggling to manage living expenses and have no savings or insurance. Hospitals are refusing treatment without proof of payment, putting me in a desperate situation.

I received my biopsy report on September 27, but I still haven’t been able to consult a cancer specialist, as all my applications have been rejected. I can’t return to India due to my passport issues, and my health is worsening. Please consider contributing whatever you can to help me during this critical time.
