Hoekstra Family Medical Bills & Funeral Costs

On August 24th, our dear friends Ross and Stacy Hoekstra experienced the unimaginable with the loss of their 3 1/2 week old son Malakai. Malakai "Kai" was born on July 30th, weighing 4 lbs, 11 ounces. Initially some abnormalities were found on his brain MRI and he needed respiratory support for his premature lungs. He had a 25-day NICU stay during which he fought and grew surrounded by the love of Stacy, Ross, Avett, Zola, family and friends. His condition continued to deteriorate, and ultimately he went home to be with Jesus. Though Kai's time on earth was brief, his presence left a deep and profound mark on all of those who got to experience him.

With Kai's NICU stay and funeral costs comes a financial burden. Many have expressed a desire to help Stacy and Ross, and helping to ease this burden is one way in which we can contribute. Please feel free to give as you feel led, using this page.
