Hogan’s FIP Fight

We’re reaching out for help for our sweet kitty, Hogan (Aka Hogie), who’s about 9 months old. He’s had our hearts since he was born. He was born with a form of a coronavirus (a sort of cold virus in cats actually, which is very common). This virus can mutate into something much more deadly, which is what’s happened to Hogie.  Sadly, he’s now been diagnosed with FIP.

He’s always been a bigger boy, much larger than his siblings (we call him big-boned lol). Well, recently we started noticing his belly looked swollen and very large, in an unusual way. We took him to a Veterinarian in our small community, and he was immediately diagnosed with FIP- a typically fatal disease.

Our hearts broke. However, after reaching out to 3 Veterinary offices and doing a lot of research to no avail, we finally found some information. A truly Good Samaritan let us know, after coming across our story, that there is a treatment! Felt like a miracle!  There is now a medication that can help! The only issue is it’s very expensive.

The treatment plan is a daily injection for about 3 months. Total cost is $2700 (about $30 per day). Hogie has received 2 injections so far, and has shown more energy already! This treatment has a 90% success rate. 

We are desperate to help him overcome this. If you’re like us, your pets are family. We will do everything we can for him. Help is more than appreciated. ❤️
