Hokies Supporting Ruli, Rwanda

Tax deductible
Virginia Tech’s Linking Lives study abroad program has been working in Rwanda for 10+ years. In a few short weeks, a group of 13 Virginia Tech students will travel to Ruli, Rwanda for 2 weeks for cultural exchange and community development.

To repay the generosity of the community for allowing us to come and learn about Rwanda, we are asking for donations to help us leave the community with a gift - Project Home.

This past November "Project Home" was created by another VT student group. Project home takes a holistic approach to not just building a house, but creating a home.

A home provides the foundation and a safe place to create a future. Where a family can feel and be secure -- in heart, body, and mind. We will use funds donated to work with the local community to identify families in need, and then provide the resources essential to create a future that transforms hope into reality: We build and furnish a house, provide fees to support the children in school, and make available food and water to sustain life.

$3,000 can build a house, but $5,000 total can make it a home with furniture, food, water, and access to education for a year. Please help us build a home in Ruli, Rwanda!
