Hold Up the Condit Family

Donation protected
My brother-in-law, Luke Condit, was diagnosed with Stage 4 colon and liver cancer in early January. Luke and his wife, Anna (Dougoveto), my sister, have six children all falling between the ages of 2 and 14. They live in Ann Arbor, MI. Luke and Anna are both graduates of Franciscan University of Steubenville. Luke works for eCatholic and Anna is a stay-at-home, homeschooling mom.

Luke is ready to fight this fight. He has already undergone two chemo treatments and has tolerated both of them as well as can be expected; however, Luke has a long road ahead of him. In the meantime, Anna is carrying on the day-to-day tasks of family life that don't stop, even when there is a crisis. She is able to do this with the help of an amazing community of self-giving friends and family who have helped in countless ways. I know Luke and Anna have both been overwhelmed by the outpouring of love that has been shown to them. It has been truly astounding.

In the months to come, Luke and Anna will be fighting this fight together while continuing to raise their six children. I know for them this is a daunting thought, especially considering Luke cannot work and will only be making a portion of his former salary all the while trying to stay on top of the medical bills that have already begun coming in.

For those of you who know Luke and Anna, you know these are two people that never ask for anything. Since the earliest days of their relationship, they have set their eyes on heaven and have never wavered. This diagnosis hasn't steered them from their course. It has only driven them closer to one another and to the God they know loves them fiercely. And because I know Luke and Anna will never ask, I will do the asking for them.

Please consider giving what you can to a great little family who is experiencing something most of us will hopefully never have to face. Your donation will help to cover their monthly expenses and medical bills, and maybe an occasional episode of Bluey for their two-year-old!

One thing I can tell you for sure: Luke and Anna are people that pray. They are people of great faith. Every night they pray for all of those who have blessed them in any way. Be assured they will pray for you and your intentions as well.
