Holiday Care Packages for Life Moves
Donation protected
Dear Menlo Community,
Earlier this year, you all voted to support the organization Life Moves through Knight Vision’s year-long fund initiative. Life Moves targets homelessness in Silicon Valley by providing temporary shelters, along with case management until homeless individuals can return to stable housing and maintain long-term self-sufficiency. Menlo has worked closely with Life Moves in the past, and Knight Vision is thrilled to continue this involvement through our year-long fund this year!
For our first campaign to support Life Moves, KV is making holiday care packages that will be directed to Life Moves’ newest program, a safe parking site in Redwood City. Due to the pandemic, Life Moves is struggling to gather enough resources to give their clients as much as they would like to this holiday season. For this reason, KV is going to create care packages to deliver this month, providing people with several useful items including blankets, face masks, hand warmers, hand sanitizer, reusable bags, and handwritten cards from students. Our goal is to raise enough money to create 80-100 of these care packages!
If you would like to donate items to support our care package effort, please contact us to coordinate a pick-up/drop-off time! Please make sure that items are completely new; as a result of coronavirus safety precautions, Life Moves will not accept used or gently used items.
Please consider supporting this fundraiser to help spread holiday cheer and send much-needed items to Life Moves’ clients. We would really appreciate any donation you can contribute to help us reach our goal of $1000. Thank you for your help, and have a happy holiday season! :)
