Holiday Drive for Lakota Reservation in SD
Donation protected
In 2022, with your support, we can have a record donation season for the Children of the Rosebud Reservation. We are fundraising for new clothes, blankets, and TOYS, TOYS, TOYS!!!
Twenty years ago, members of the Native American Church (NAC) began collecting donations from South Texas and sending them to the Rosebud Reservation in South Dakota. Today we are continuing the mission started in 2002 with Chief Marvin Swallow, a Lakota (Sioux) Sicangu, and his wife, Hiroko Matsuda Swallow, from Japan.
This mission has been blessed from the beginning with support from Pejuta Wakan Chanku NAC in Colorado & the Tlecuauhtlacupeuh NAC of the Americas in San Antonio. We are excited to make this year the best year yet!
Hi, I'm Jason Poer, I've been Sundancing in Rosebud for 20+ years, and I owe the beautiful people of Rosebud my life. The sacred teachings they've trusted me and others to share with the world, like those of the Inipi (sweat lodge) ceremony, have positively impacted my life and many others. I humbly ask for your support to make the lives of Rosebud's people happier and bring smiles and brightness to their holiday season. Your donations will help them now and throughout the entire year.
The Rosebud Reservation faces many hardships every year. With unemployment and social problems affecting almost every home, this time of year can be very challenging. One small donation can make a huge difference for an entire family. My companion Emily Chapelle and I will supervise the transport and delivery of this year's contributions. Children's donations are especially vital during the cold months.
100% of your donations go directly to the Rosebud Reservation. Donations are distributed to Native churches, donation centers, and community outreach programs.
Thank you for changing their lives in a good way.
Mitakuye Oyasin!
