Creating lasting memories for Ris & her family

Anyone who meets Ris instantly knows what a caring, selfless, wonderful human she is. She is an amazing friend, the best mother, and lives for her kids Mitch & Ella, and her husband Brett.

In February 2021 Ris found out she had stage 3 bowel cancer. She underwent surgery to remove the tumour and then endured 12 rounds of intensive chemo. She was so incredibly sick but maintained her positive humorous attitude throughout and was determined to kick cancer's butt! Finally in March this year she received the news she had been hoping for and fighting for, that she was cancer free!

Unfortunately, this happy news was short-lived and in September this year Ris found out her cancer had metastasised to her liver and that this time it's incurable. Ris also has a lesion in her right breast under investigation.  Ris has been given 2-3 years and will have surgery to remove what they can and ongoing chemo to extend the time she has. We know Ris will put up the biggest fight she has in her. This is news that has broken the hearts of everyone that knows and loves Ris, and I can only imagine how much deeper that pain runs for her family. There is nothing we can say or do that can change the situation Ris is faced with. But the one thing we'd like to do is ensure Ris and her family can spend quality time together as a family making happy and everlasting memories.

For that reason, we have set up this GoFundMe page to raise money for Ris and her family to go on an amazing holiday together of their choosing and not worry about anything else but cherishing their time together.
