Holiday Campaign for Covenant House: Year 2
Tax deductible
As a young legal advocate serving low-income New Yorkers who are in eviction proceedings and at risk of experiencing homelessness, this fundraiser now feels even more personal than last year's. But I'd be remised if I didn't offer the following anecdote. It's thanks to Rachel Brosnahan's advocacy and light that I have become familiar with the incredible work of Covenant House. This fundraiser and my donation are in her honor. If your donation is in Rachel's honor, too, and you feel so inclined, feel free to leave a little note attached to your donation, share to social media, or do whatever you'd like to get the word out.
Last year, with your generosity and spreading the word, this fundraiser was able to reach its $1,000 goal. Because of that success, this year, I'm rebooting this fundraiser for Covenant House to allow myself and others the opportunity to give back and spread some cheer to those who need it most.

Covenant House is opening the doors to two new locations in NYC in 2021. Additionally, while still in the midst of COVID-19, resources are critical to ensure that the young people relying on Covenant House's services have a warm, safe, and comfortable holiday season. Please consider giving to support these brilliant folks who are overcoming homelessness.
Covenant House's Mission:
"Our work is guided by a mission to serve youth with absolute respect and unconditional love... to help kids who are suffering... and to protect and safeguard all children in need. In support of our mission, Covenant House is guided by five principles.
What we believe: Our five guiding principles
1. Immediacy – Covenant House immediately meets the basic needs of youth experiencing homelessness through a nourishing meal, a shower, clean clothes, medical attention, and a safe place to sleep.
2. Sanctuary – Covenant House provides a safe haven from the hardships of homelessness. We recognize the fundamental worth of every human being, and create a safe setting where all youth – regardless of life experience or identity – are served without judgement.
3. Value communication – Covenant House leads by example to demonstrate that caring relationships are based on love, trust, respect, and honesty.
4. Structure –Covenant House provides the stability and structure necessary to build a positive future.
5. Choice – Covenant House fosters confidence; encouraging young people to believe in themselves and make informed choices for their lives."
