Holiday Giving With Trinity Place Shelter
Donation protected
Trinity Place Shelter is a small, independent, non-sectarian residence for homeless LGBTQ+ youth and young adults. Located in the basement of Trinity Lutheran Church of Manhattan on the Upper West Side, TPS fills a critical niche where vulnerable young people aged 18-24 can stay up to 18 months and receive the care and support they need to exit the cycle of homelessness. Our social work staff provides the positive, identity-affirming care, resources and opportunities needed to heal from the trauma of rejection and homelessness while developing the skills necessary to build a meaningful future. Trinity Place Shelter isn’t just a place for homeless queer youth to sleep safely at night – for up to 18 months, it is a place they call home. At the end of the day, they come to a place where they receive love, validation, care, and community.
Your donation this holiday season will help us buy each resident the gifts they asked for! For example, Krysten wants an art set with pastels and paints. Jaydee has a particular pair of winter boots that his heart is set on!
Ariel loves Zara and wants to have the opportunity to go shopping for herself. Your support will help us reach our goal of purchasing holiday gifts for all ten residents at Trinity Place Shelter.
Thank you for partnering with us this season and extending your hearts to those who live at Trinity Place Shelter. We couldn't be more grateful to have the community at Mount Sinai Morningside Hospital as our allies.
