Holli Lamb Ross-Double Amputation Expenses

On June 6th, our beautiful Holli went in for a routine surgery to remove a cyst from her armpit. Two days later, she was rushed to the hospital due to an extremely high fever which turned out to be a result of an infection that very quickly caused septic shock.

Everything escalated quickly, and Holli ended up on life support for 14 days. She had pneumonia, her kidneys shut down, and her blood pressure was extremely low.

We were told that family and friends might want to say goodbye because her chance of surviving this was extremely low.

The doctors put her on vasopressors. It saves lives, however, it is unfortunately very common that the vasopressors result in necrosis of digits and extremities, resulting in amputation.

She fought like a warrior since June 8th and was miraculously taken off the ventilator two weeks ago.

On Friday, July 8th, Holli underwent surgery to have both legs amputated below the knee. She will most likely lose two fingers due to the necrosis as well.

This unexpected and life-changing situation has led us here. Because of the medical bills that are piling up, Holli is in desperate need of making accommodations for her home to become handicap accessible. She will also need transportation to her appointments, a wheelchair and prosthetics. Holli has health insurance, but as we all know, it will only cover a portion of the vastly growing and ongoing medical expenses.

We are asking for your help so Holli can continue to receive the care she needs to heal physically and mentally.

She will be heading to a rehab facility within the next few weeks for about two months for continued dialysis, occupational and physical therapy.

Holli is loving, kind-hearted and amazingly strong. She is staying positive and has high hopes for her new journey in life.

Her husband, son and family are dedicated to helping her…they just need a little help to get everything she needs.
