Holly's Memorial Fund

UPDATE
Holly fought the battle but gained her angel wings on March 21st at 2 pm.  The family not only struggles with the loss of Holly but continues to have incoming medical expenses.  Continued prayers are appreciated.

This page and fund is being set up to help support not only Holly Glover but her family as well.  I met Holly while we were both going through breast cancer about 3 years ago.  I was drawn to her sweet spirit and willingness to help others even though she had her own battle to fight.

Holly was 36 when she was  initially diagnosed with breast cancer in October 2013.  She went through chemo and a double mastectomy and thought she had won her battle.

In September 2016, Holly and her family found out that her breast cancer had metastasized to her bones (hip and back are the most painful), lungs and brain.  She has had mulitple surgeries, radiation, chemo and several stays at the hospital for complications with treatments and illnesses that have occured.  

Holly is on a feeding tube through her stomach because of her dysphagia (inability to swallow).  This has also caused her to be unable to speak or communicate verbally to family and friends.  Her latest stay in the hospital was in Oncology ICU after experiencing a heart attack called heartbroken syndrome, which is from severe emotional distress and pain.  She was inibated for a short time and was able to gain enough strength to return home.

There is no longer treatment available locally and she must travel out of state to MD Anderson where they have the most current treatment options for the type of cancer she has.  She has many appointments and tests before they can travel to MD Anderson.

As you can imagine, the bills are starting to come in.  This has been emotionally, physically and finanically hard on Holly and the family as well.   Holly has been fighting an intense battle not only for herself but for her husband and her 14 year old daughter. 

Any amount of money you can share would be greatly appreciated by Holly and her family.   It takes a village so prayers are still needed.  The family would like to thank you in advance.
