Celebration of Life: Holly Marie-Lynn Thistle

It's with heavy hearts that we mark the passing of our niece, Holly Marie-Lynn Thistle. Holly was born in Peterborough, Ontario February 20th, 2024 and passed in Toronto April 21st, 2025. We are currently planning a memorial service to be held at the beginning of May.

Holly was only in our lives briefly but made a tremendously profound impact on everyone who was lucky enough to meet her. Despite battling cancer she left every nurse, doctor and volunteer at SickKids hospital with a smile on their face - quickly becoming the floor favorite wherever she was. Anyone who had the good fortune of spending time with Holly will be unable to forget what a bright, immutable and strong little soul she was.

Although we have already raised funds once, during the beginning of Holly's battle with brain cancer, we are hoping some of you would also be interested in helping us celebrate Holly's memory in May. It goes without saying that any amount helps, large or small, and any surplus will go towards helping Rachel offset the cost of being without work for the past year. Whether or not you are able to donate we would love to celebrate Holly's beautiful memory with you when the date and location are finally chosen. Follow here for that information.
