Hollymount, Carras, Robeen Parish CFR & AED Grou

Hi, my name is Darren Forde, coordinator of the Hollymount,-(Roundfort ,Carras, Robeen Parish) CFR & AED Group. We cover a 10 Km radius from Hollymount which takes in all of Ballinrobe Town & part of Claremorris Town. 

We are setting a goal of €6000 to be raised. All funds will be used for future purchases & maintenance of the 7 Community Defibrillators, which can cost thousands.

Recently €4390 was spent on 7 heated outdoor boxes & 2 trainer Defibrillators.

When any AED needs replacement, we Must be in a position to replace it immediately. To do so, we need your help, support & funds for this.

 

The 7 AEDs are now all located outside in new heated boxes at:

 

1. Robeen church

2. Roundfort church

3. Carras church

4. Lehinch school

5. Hollymount GAA dressing room

6. Hollymount Hall

7. Garrymore GAA &

One mobile AED (Privately owned & in an EMT’s Car – this will be used wherever needed.)

 

The CFR group is currently made up of 50 CFR trained volunteers, covering all the areas above.

In addition to that, we have a Specially trained team of 6 Community CFR, consisting of five 999 Emergency Text Response Nurses & one EMT who will all receive a text from Ambulance Control simultaneously & at the same time the Ambulance receives the local emergency call. We are hoping that one or more of the 999 Responder volunteers will be at the patient well before the ambulance arrives to provide lifesaving support.
