Holualoa School Robotics State Competition
Donation protected
Aloha,
Our Holualoa School Robotics team is raising money to support airfare & accommodations for our 5 students plus adult companions as we prepare to head to the Hawai’i State Robotics competition for Elementary students.
After getting our VEX program kit donated earlier this year, our amazing Robotics teachers entered our students into the VEX divisional league in West Hawai’i. With little time to prepare, our staff, students, and families made a bit commitment to practicing and competing at the divisional level here in West Hawai’i. A very special mahalo to
Father Michael Lundrigan and Aloha Map for donating vital robotics equipment ❤️ And to Hawai’i Space Grant and Hawai’i Community Foundation who provided one new game table and the 2022-2023 Slapshot competition game set.
The students and volunteer Robotics teachers worked really hard to create a great team that won the Excellence Award and the Judges Award at our District meet. To our surprise, this divisional win made us eligible for the State competition on O’ahu.
Without any time to fundraise and without a Robotics fund at our school, our families and volunteer teachers are currently paying out-of-pocket to get us to the state competition.
We are hoping that with a little support from our community, friends, and family we can get enough funding together to make this trip fun and memorable for our five 5th graders and their families.
We appreciate any support possible!
With Aloha,
Holualoa Robotics Team
