Home destroyed by Santa Rosa Beach fire

On May 6  2020, there was a catastrophic wild fire caused by an illegal burning in the Santa Rosa Beach area. Around 600 acres were burned down, as well as dozens of homes destroyed. One of the houses destroyed was Jon and Julie’s first home.

Jon and Julie Stephenson were just married on November 2, 2019. The words “for better or for worse” could not be more true.  I have been talking to Jon and Julie and they have stated over and over how God’s hand has been with them this entire time. 

On that Wednesday morning, Julie was working in their home and Jon was thankfully also home. Jon saw their backyard engulfed in flames, and quickly got Julie and their dog, Red, out with only minutes to spare.

We are so thankful that they got out safely, but unfortunately, their home and everything inside, was completely destroyed. These newlyweds have been through so much devastation. They had only lived in their first home for just a year before everything was gone.

Anyone who knows Jon and Julie, knows that they're not ones to ask for help. So, they don’t have a choice and we are gonna help them anyway! Many people have asked what they can do to help, so we started this fundraiser to financially help them through this process of starting over and replacing the memories that went up in flames.
