Home Explosion: Support for Danny & Debbie Holveck
Donation protected
At approximately 2 am on August 2, 2024, the lifelong home of Danny & Debbie Holveck exploded while they were inside the home. The house immediately burst into flames after the explosion. Thankfully, with the help of their brave and fast-acting neighbors. They pulled Danny out from under the debris of his home where he was trapped. Debbie was out of the debris when they arrived but hysterical and in shock, not understanding what had happened. Their beloved dog, Punkin, unfortunately, perished in the explosion. They also lost everything they owned. After going through the debris last night, the family was only able to salvage just a few random items that still received extensive damage but had memories attached to them.
Danny was taken by air ambulance and Debbie by ground ambulance. They both have extensive injuries to recover from.
Danny has substantial burns to both arms, hands, and face. He also has two broken vertebrae in his back, a broken scapula, and a large gash to the back of his head.
Debbie also suffered burns to her legs and face. Once at the hospital, it was discovered that she suffered a mild heart attack during the explosion. Debbie had to undergo surgery to place a stint.
Both Danny and Debbie have an extended stay in the hospital. It is unknown what their needs will be once released from the hospital.
The family is extremely thankful for all who have reached out offering to help. As of right now, this is the best way to help, along with prayers for recovery and guidance. As we know more about Danny and Debbie's recovery and the path that is ahead of them with where they will live and replace simple everyday items, clothing, toiletries, etc., I will update you.
Again, on behalf of the Holveck Family, we are extremely grateful for all of the love, support, prayers, and donations.
