My mother Sandra Simpson passed away on Sunday December 12th. After 74 years of life, she was called home by THE LORD. She was a woman that had an endless supply of unconditional love and would give the shirt off her back if it meant she could do something nice for another person. She was a fervent believer and follower of Christ. She spent many years of her life evangelizing and preaching the faith of Jesus Christ.
Moreover, she was a fantastic mother, the type of mom that could find the strength to lift a car to save her child. But not just her child, but any child because she believed all were precious in the eyes of GOD. She blessed me with her love and blessed many others as well. She loved the laughter of children and their smiles always warmed her heart. She was the type of woman that not only wanted to protect her child, but also any child she saw. Her super power really was love and compassion.
Lastly my mother was a dedicated wife to her husband. She believed in the vow she swore the day she married my father and held to it for 32 years until his passing. She was a rock, a pillar, and a safe harbor for her husband and family. Though her stature was small, her presence was big. Her voice was soft and comforting, but her laugh could fill a whole auditorium.
In recent years she referred herself as my "Helicopter Mom" because she liked to "hover over me because I was her son." She fulfilled her duty wonderfully and without blemish. So, if you find it on your heart to help me send her off as she deserved any amount of help would be greatly appreciated. I will end this with something she said me to every time we finished speaking.
"May THE LORD keep you and bless you and send his angels to protect you."
Thanks,
David Simpson
