Home Repairs Crisis

My name is Barbara (“Miss Barbie”) Federer; I am 82 years old. I retired after working 23 years in a hospital in Ohio, then I worked 20 years at Walt Disney World in Florida. In 2007, I purchased a small mobile home, built in 1960, in Camp Verde, Arizona, hoping to live out my sunset years there. Unfortunately, as it was being rented out until I moved this summer to Camp Verde from Florida, the mobile home was severely neglected. I had hoped to move into the home this summer, but found it in disarray and uninhabitable, due to its age and unsanitary condition.
After research, I hired a contractor to get my mobile livable again. Much mold build-up was discovered, due to leaky plumbing and old pipes, along with a very old and leaky roof. An electrician found the wiring to be old, brittle, and dangerous with sections simply not working. Windows, doors and insulation, along with heating and cooling all needed replacing in this 63-year-old single-wide mobile home with a room attachment.
Fortunately, a dear neighbor has generously allowed me to stay in a spare room while my mobile is being rehabilitated. Originally, we believed the work would be completed in a month or two. Unfortunately, all work has come to a stop, due to lack of funds. I sincerely believed my savings would be sufficient, but I totally underestimated how costly this would become. Now that my savings are depleted, and I have maxed out my lines of credit, I am at a stand still with work stoppage, due to no available cash or credit anymore to finish the rehab of my home.
I was diagnosed with Stage 4 cancer a few years ago, and am currently doing well overall—thank you, Jesus! I have always been able to support myself, and have always been a very hard worker. I have always loved the Lord, and been a prayerful lady; I have specifically been praying now, asking God to give me the strength and finances to be able to finish my housing rehab. I am very humbled to have to ask for any financial assistance that might be offered. I ask that anyone reading this might consider assisting me in making my old mobile home habitable, so that I may move in and be safe and healthy during my “sunset years".
God has helped me all my life, and I feel very blessed for the wondrous life He has given me-- I look forward to seeing how He will work this out for me. I believe God, in His time and blessings, will provide. Please, whether or not you are able help financially, I ask for your prayers. I also ask that you forward this to any friends and family, that God may perhaps touch their hearts to help me. God bless you all, and thank you from the bottom of my heart for your consideration.
God Bless all and thank you for reading this.
