Hi, my name is Jackie.
I hate that I have to do this again - I don't even know the point. I can't afford to go to therapy anymore. I can't afford to pay my bills. My mortgage is behind and I don't have the energy to list out the reasons I need help time and time again– so here is the short of it.
- We whistleblew on harassment and harm in VR– then both my husband (Nick) and I were laid off.
- We refused our severance so we could continue to speak out on these issues to the public.
- Nick has been interviewing for a position that we hope will pan out– but we have no guarantee.
- I (Jackie) was diagnosed with EDS during our layoff which requires a higher quality of care than our current health insurance can offer us. We need income to supplement treatments and appointments as I am not doing well.
- If we don't raise enough money until one of us secures paid employment– we will lose our home and Jackie's health will continue to deteriorate.
Please, only if you have the means, we would appreciate the help. I very much would like to be able to afford my doctors and stay in my home.
