Homegoing for Denise Harris

On Wednesday February 28, 2024, our beloved mother and friend transitioned unexpectedly! For the last 2yrs, she’s battled with many health issues, which caused her not to be able to work, doing  the job she loved, with the City of Poughkeepsie School District’s children, that she loved and adored, as they affectionately called her GRANDMA! these health issues caused her to incur unexpected medical expenses and financial hardships. the last few months, Denise, battled with medical issues, such as CHF, lymphedema, Neurosarcoidosis, for which she had minor surgery which causes additional complications she seem to never recover from and most recently a pulmonary embolism which caused her to go into cardiac  arrest and caused her untimely death! 

The love, compassion, kindness she had for people was truly one of a kind and her given was 2nd to none. She would give her last with no question. No death is easy  to process and you can never be fully prepared for it or what comes after including  the unexpected  expense of funeral  cost!
Unfortunately, due to the policy she paid into over the years,  it did not cover funeral expenses. We’ve hesitated with the thought of creating this fundraiser and asking for help and support, but realize we are in need! 

 We the children and grandchildren of Denise L Harris, are fundraising to provide a homecoming service for her and are asking those that can and are willing to help us in this time of need!

We are grateful  in advance for all of those that will support  this cause financially and share this fundraiser! No amount is to big or too small and is all appreciated! We Thank you for your time, consideration  and gifts and ask that you continue to keep us in your thoughts and prayers!
