Homegoing Assistance for Denise "Queenie" Hicks

It is with heavy hearts that we inform the world that our beloved daughter, sister, aunt, and friend is currently transitioning to heaven. Denise suffered a massive seizure on Friday, August 5, 2022. En route to the hospital, she coded due to a massive stroke, but medical personnel were able to resuscitate her. Unfortunately, she remained in a coma. Once in the hospital, we learned she was also suffering from a Lupus flare, COVID-19, and Pneumonia. Denise never came out of the coma and we had to make the hard decision of taking her off of life support on Friday, August 26, 2022 . After a long & amazing fight she took her last breath & made her transition Tuesday, August 30, 2022 10:20pm, at the tender age of 28-years-old. While it is sad and heartbreaking, we are united as a family. However, we are asking for assistance in preparing for her funeral.
