A Tribute to Michi Rodriguez

It is with heartfelt sorrow and grief that we reach out today having lost our dearest and beloved Michi Rodriguez on October 1st.
We are without the words to express the immense loss being felt by those whose hearts she touched, but it would be unfathomable not to honor the memory of our cherished and truly unforgettable friend.
Michi exuded life and light and love. Her laughter filled a space far beyond the room she was standing in. No four walls could contain her energy and charisma – nor should they be able to. She was a friend, a sister, a daughter, a partner, a confidant, an auntie, a supporter, a cheerleader, an adventurer, a fervent optimist, and someone who could make you laugh with just a look.
You would be hard pressed to find a photo without her flashing that beautifully warm and genuine smile. She had the innate ability to lift spirits and inject any situation with positivity. She was a dance goddess and you couldn’t take your eyes off her if you tried. She approached each day with passion and enthusiasm and brought us all along for the ride. Her capacity to share her true self and see the beauty in those around her was a special gift. Being her friend meant being completely engulfed in sincere love.
There will be none other like her.
Michi left us far too soon and our hearts are utterly broken. Her devastating loss feels exemplified as we are scattered and sheltered at home without the ability to come together to mourn. Even through the pain we feel now, let us allow her light to shine through us.
We can still hear your laugh. You will never leave our hearts. We are all better having known you. Rest in sweet peace, dear friend.
This year has been remarkably difficult for many of us, so it is with great appreciation that the family accepts any support you can provide to assist with burial expenses. The outpouring of love has been overwhelming and a testament to the vibrant and beautiful person Michi was. We encourage you to please keep her family in your prayers and reach out to connect with others who loved her.
All remaining proceeds will be used to create a meaningful foundation in her name.
This fundraising effort is being coordinated with permission from and on behalf of the Rodriguez family. Close friend, Cynthia Cevallos will be managing and delivering donations to the family.
