Homegoing for Reverend Edward Lee Johnson

Our dear father, Edward Johnson, departed this life on Saturday, May 27, 2023, at the ripe age of 84 years old. We, his children (Steve, Glen, Tanya, Carla and Samaria), are comforted in not only our own memories of him, but in all of the personal sentiments expressed by his friends, acquaintances, colleagues and clergy.

Throughout most of his life, Dad preached the Word of God, serving as a pastor and teacher for many years. In his later years, he labeled his ministry, "The Lone Ranger Ministry - reaching out to the unchurched, the church hurt, and the unloved brethren to lead them back to faith in the Lord Jesus Christ." He remarked that although he was small in stature, he was big in faith!

As he got on in years, I once asked him when he would retire from ministry. He told me flat out, "I will preach the Gospel until the Lord calls me home!" And that, he did.

As we make plans to lay our father to rest, we are comforted in knowing that he completed his life's purpose. In order to provide him a send-off deserving of his Godly service, we would appreciate any donations that will help offset the costs of his funeral services and to close out his estate needs.
