Homegoing For The Good Reverend Arthur Gault

Dear Family & Friends, We’ve Lost a Great Man!

 

Unfortunately, on April 12, 2022, our beloved Reverend Arthur Lee Gault passed away at Suburban Hospital in Bethesda, Maryland. Art had been in a multi-year battle against complications from cancer treatments, which had become increasingly aggressive and recently left him very ill and in pain; so the family finds comfort in knowing that he is finally free from that suffering.

 

Reverend Art Gault considered himself “a man who doesn’t fit anywhere,” but as you know, he was loved everywhere. He was a reliable and resourceful mentor to many, a beloved teacher, and a preacher. Whether you knew him as your favorite Reverend at church, the witty wedding officiant that married you and your favorite spouse, or the insightful comforting Reverend that helped you lay your loved one(s) to rest, it was clear that he was a positive and magnetic spirit that will never be replaced.

 

Art transitioned at the age of 84, but wanted to remind all of us that “I will never die as long as you keep talking about me!”

*Note For Service 11am-12pm: Due to continued COVID Restrictions, the church is only allowed to grant a very limited number of just 50 pre-screened and vaccinated attendees the ability to remain seated/stationary in the sanctuary during the service.  As this is the case, if you would like to remain for the Service portion and can provide proof of full vaccination against COVID-19 please contact Art's daughter Jawana for further instructions.*
