Homegoing Services for Betty Alford

We have often heard of hard times for families who were faced with burial costs when there is no coverage. We didn’t think it would happen to us. Our family is now facing this as Betty Alford our mother, grandmother and sister transitioned from this life. Our dad was a veteran and we thought, as she told us that she would be taken care of as a Vets wife. We didn’t investigate further though we should have.
Betty was a beautiful person who would have help anyone. It was sudden that she was diagnosed with Stage 4 Cancer of the Brain and Lung and it was sudden that she departed. It pains us to know that we could not provide the type of home going in which she truly deserves but with the help of many of you, we know that we will be able to say our final goodbyes.
Unfortunately, this is a time sensitive matter. We need to have funds by Wednesday, July 24, 2019. Carolyn Alford Simmons, her daughter, will be handling all donations. All funds will go towards the funeral and burial services for Betty Alford.
