Homeless animals in need of help

Donation protected
This fundraiser is for PACIFIC COAST DOG RESCUE in Los Angeles CA. (Donations to this 501 c3 rescue are tax deductible.)
I focus my rescue volunteer work on saving (often injured) dogs and cats off our streets, and helping neglected or abused dogs suffering unseen on chains or behind fences. PCDR (Ingrid Hurel, Coord,) is the rescue that has helped me the most.
As everyone knows, veterinary care is not cheap, and we need to pay off the $12,000 we currently owe at two different vets before we can help more animals. We are also trying to raise extra funds for their follow up care and for the newly rescued dogs, for whom we need to provide medical care.
Rescue work takes a lot of time and effort, animals need veterinary care, surgeries, vaccinations, testing, food and supplies. We don’t even have time to post about all the follow up work each dog requires, and we spend a lot of gas money driving around doing the physical rescue, vet visits, medicine pick ups, home visits to fosters and adopters etc.

There is a crisis with backyard breeding and lack in enforcement, leading to overcrowded shelters and unnecessary high euthanasia rates of pets. Rescues are inundated.
Our volunteer work in large part consists of outreach - to stop the cycle of new puppies and kittens being born, educating people on proper care, and helping those who cannot afford to provide medical care for their dogs and cats, often rehoming neglected animals to safe homes.
However, we cannot do any of this without financial support. Please help us reach out to people and companies, who might care about ending animal suffering and preventing more animals from entering into our shelters (only to be killed, as there is no space).
If you know any foundations, who might support our type of community work, please tell them about us. If we could only find some regular help to keep going we could make a much bigger difference.
We have in large part been able to do the work we do with help from neighbors in our community., but it is proving harder and harder, as fewer donations are coming in.

Coco - the micro Frenchie - is one of our latest rescues: She was listed for sale online for $200, despite having a prolapsed rectum (!) Ingrid was picking me up at the airport, as I returned from Norway, and we went straight to Downey to rescue her. Thankfully, the owners surrendered her to us, and we immediately rushed her to a vet hospital where she got the surgery she needed. The costs was $3,400 (not including follow up care)… Medical costs quickly add up, but we could not let her be sold and continue to suffer. She is now in a loving foster home.

Please help us help more animals like Coco.

Here are some samples of the work we do:

Tigre’s story:
❤️ The two last shepherds on this lot were rescued. The short haired super-sweet shepherd/malinois is still in need of a home.

SkidRow video (9 min)
❤️ The kitty towards the end of this video is thriving and doing well after receiving surgeries. He is still looking for a loving home.

Skidrow - pregnant mama with daddy dog
❤️ The puppies were born in a safe environment and have now been adopted. Mama and daddy dogs are such sweet dogs and are still looking for loving home(s). Maybe we can find an adopter and reunite them?

Homeless Encampment:
❤️ We were able to rescue four of the shepherd puppies, the rest were sadly sold prematurely. They were very sick and needed to be hospitalized for two weeks. We also rescued the four little kittens and two adult cats from this lot, but other animals are still in need of help….

My Amazon Rescue-Wishlist is attached, in case someone would like to donate some food or other supplies needed. I provide food for several dogs and cats in Skidrow, in addition to many dogs we have in foster homes:

Thank you for any help for the animals!
