Homeless family due to Hurricane Ian Florida.
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Dustin and I live with my parents in Englewood, FL. Our mobile home was destroyed by winds and water damage caused by the hurricane. Nearly everything inside is soaked and ruined. We still have no power and no cell service. My parents are "living" in the home currently and they could use some help. My dad is a veteran and my mom has diabetes. They have a flat tire on their only car and do not move around very well. Any donations would be used exclusively for home repair or replacing lost items, drinking water, food, utilities, or any other life necessity. We know there are so many that have lost so much. Any help would be used wisely and so greatly appreciated.
With Gratitude.

UPDATE 8PM 10/3: Thanks to your incredible generosity, we have relocated them to a nearest pet- friendly hotel in Lakeland FL (which they traveled to on a borrowed spare tire). It's modest but they have electricity and functioning water. They are so grateful. We hope to hear from FEMA disaster relief.
I am staying (without electricity but with intermittent water) nearby so I can help with cleanup and oversee recovery help. The community has been amazing. We have so far to go to normal, but are so grateful. ❤️
UPDATE 10AM 10/5:
After revisiting the house and removing a few more valuables and sentimental items that made it, we are expecting to have to build/rebuild the entire place. After being wet and hot for 7 days now, I don't believe it's safe for us to work inside unprotected. Thank you for your help as we rebuild our lives.
They do not have home insurance. In Florida, it is very difficult to find coverage for a mobile home.
