Homeless. Help Baeza family off California Streets

Donation protected
Hello everybody, my name is Michael Baeza, 32, navy veteran, and this fundraiser is for my family and myself. My family consists of my wife Serena, 32, daughter emilee, 11, sons Michael Jr., 4, And Diego Jesus,3 and baby girl Andrea Marie, 1. Also have 5 dogs. (Long story on how we have that many dogs, ask and I'll message anyone curious)

As for long stories, this one is long. At the bottom, I will have an itemized list of what we are raising money for. If you'd like to skip my story at any point to look at that, I take no offense, just scroll down.

My wife and I do not have help. Very little from friends, less from family.
Shes native american, no help from her reservation in Wyoming.
Im a veteran without benefits, so no aid is available from that route.
It has always been, just us. Right now, I ask you for any help you may provide.

We are currently living out of our vehicles and RV and have been since about Thanksgiving 2022. We are trying to move to Arizona. There, I have 1.33 acres I've been paying $179.79 a month for. I had previously paid up to May 10th. It's off grid, no zoning, away from people but close enough to town.

It's our dream property to get out of California to. We want to homestead and be 100% self sufficient. Produce our own food, water,  electricity, fuel and even income from selling anything extra.

We already own solar and I have installed some of that on top of the rv.
To try to achieve this move while homeless, I have sold my 2012 Harley Davidson knightster, a heavy duty equipment trailer and 1500 silverado 4x4 truck, amongst other items. Some sentimental, some just monetarily.

During the time since each being sold, no reliable enough person has been found to help drive my remaining vehicles.
A suburban to carry my family in the Arizona desert, a 1-ton dually to safely move our rv that we live in and my wife's 2010 honda civic that allows us to save money driving. She doesn't drive, but she bought the car, $15,000 cash when we first started dating in 2012, I won't sell her car. Passes smog flying colors, mpg through the roof. It was also our only vehicle when first dealing with homelessness as a family 5 years ago. I bought the RV first that year, then truck to tow the rv and truck to move stuff the following year. And bought the suburban for my wife 2 years ago while pregnant with our 4th child together.

The money from the recent selling of vehicles had gone to making my family comfortable in the rv, buying all the components for my solar system and a Canadian mini cast iron wood stove for our homestead and off grid living in Arizona. The solar system is 48vdc, so I have 16(expensive) deep cycle batteries wired to have 400ah at 48 volts. Bought everything needed to safely have 120Vac at 15-30amps depending on weather. But the batteries keep what's needed always on. My rv is plugged into itself on the inside, pictures will be provided.
Water will be captured from the air with an atmospheric water generator. 2 self powered small ones would work. A company named Source makes them.

So what im looking for help with is raising enough money to finish making this dream a reality. It's a 5 year plan that needs to rap up. I'd like to raise enough to get us to Holbrook, Arizona, the town closest to our land. To leave, I have to empty all of our storage. I am currently selling items from it to pay for this last month we are in it(about $130+$20 late fee after the 5th) and to update my rv registration(about $350+ with late fees), it was due 2 months ago in March.
I am currently DIYing some roof racking on the suburban to carry half of the storage. The other half is being sold, pictures taken and items posted online. Updates made as things progress.

Also to move, safely, I'd like to fix my front end suspension on the suburban. It will carry my family and their belongings so it's important to me. I can fix it myself, parts cost about $350. Front end suspension kit. Same for my Chevy 3500 dually, the Firestone air bags installed for towing are completely gone. Back cracked, front end deteriorated to nothing. For safety, they should be replaced. The back and front both being about $3-400 each. The suburban, I had been advised not to drive without replacing the suspension. The truck, I would feel safer if done, the rv is weighted down more than it probably should be.
The truck would need the brake fluid flushed and serviced, not just drained and refilled. That would be about $120+ about $100 for gas.
The RV, a 26ft 5th wheel, needs new tires, has dual axles so 4 total. They're about 10 years old. I've had them priced about $600-$700 total. That's installed with warranty.

To ensure time to accomplish these tasks in this area, by may 5th, we are going to some camp grounds in Earlimart,CA at the Colonel Allensworth State Historic Park. They are $20 a night, have water and there are showers there. We haven't had running water in 6 months, so a shower would be nice. It costs $10 to dump the RV sewer tank so raising some funds towards that would be super nice.

Since being homeless since Thanksgiving 2022, my wife and I, plus 3 of our children have had birthdays while being homeless. My 32nd, Michael Jr.s 4th And Little Andrea Marie's 1st were all in Dec. Diego Jesus's 3rd in march and My wife Serenas 32nd was in April.
With these missed birthdays, all holidays had been fairly canceled, cut short being an understatement. Emilee's 12th birthday is in July. In my eyes, we need to be moved and set up before then, so she can have a better 12th birthday than the last 5 these previous 5 years of struggling and at times surviving.

Surviving is what we have been doing.
But in doing so, we have built skills and have realized abilities not seen in us ever before.
So for 5 years, we have worked towards owning our own land and living off of it. To homestead in a sense, prep in another, but more importantly build a better tomorrow and life for my family, into the future.

Here is an itemized list of what the money raised will go:
  • $20   Nightly campground, including showers
  • $10. Bi-weekly Dump station for RV sewer. tank.
  • $150 storage
  • $350 rv registration fees, past due in march
  • $450 gas in suburban for move to Arizona
  • $500 gas in 1-ton truck for move
  • $120 gas for Honda civic
  • $??? Plus money to possibly pay for drivers. If enough is raised, a car trailer may be rented or bought to save gas and driver expenditures.
These safety items are needed, but may be skirted to afford move.
  • $650 RV tires, currently 10+ years old
  • $220 1-ton truck brake fluid servicing+ gas to get there
  • $350 suburban front end suspension
  • $160 suburban front end alignment, lifetime warranty
  • $300 1-ton truck front end air bags
  • $350 1-ton truck rear end air bags
These items are needed to be set up by July for my daughter's 12th birthday.
  • $150 water pump for RV.
  • $250 water heater, electric 2.5 gal.
  • $800 fencing around 1.33 acres
  • $150 for 55gal water tank or
  • $1200 for 650gal water tank
  • $3,000-$5,000 atmospheric water generator, pulls water from the air, no well needed, solar powered built in

Any money that is left after everything listed above will go towards the $4,000+ balance left on my barron piece of land I want to form into an oasis.

Items are prioritized by what's needed first due to time constraints. All items are essentially to ensure a safe trip out of california. If you donate to have a safety item completed, please request that your money goes towards that given task and I will notify you when completed, with pictures.

If raised,
  • $1,000-$2,000 will get us home, to our new home In Arizona.
  • $2,000-$5,000 will do it safely with some stuff for the homestead.
  • $5,000-$10,000 will provide the future dream home with everything we will need to live, love and thrive.
We would appreciate with all of our hearts to receive any and all help that you or someone you may know may provide. Anything helps right now, all we are thankful for.
Help us go from surviving homeless to surviving homestead, so we may start living, not just survive anymore.
Help us to live our dreams. Thank You.
