Homeless Vancouver man seeking money for housing.

Hello!

I am a homeless 40 year old that has spent the last few years living in tents, toxic living SROs, and shelters. During most of this time, I was repeatedly harassed, threatened, bullied, and treated poorly by shelter workers, guests and neighbors.

Outside has also had weather challenges

and several inconveniences.

The experiences have been a struggle to my mental health. I have been hoping for a safe place to live with peace and wonderful people, but the cycle is more challenging than I ever thought, especially with low options for low income housing.

I am not a drug or alcohol user. I used to be employed with housing and everything slowly turned into a depressing and scary few years.

I am currently back in a tent in the park because I cannot continue to deal with the atmosphere of the shelters and SROs.

I am hoping for some money to restore my life, and help cover the price for shared accommodations that would be in a safe environment and inside! I can then start to work and keep myself inside and mentally healthy.
