Homeless Veteran Show: Missing in Paradise

Tax deductible
The reason I started working in the entertainment business in the beginning was always tell the story about homeless veterans. I co-founded two non-profits dedicated to ending veteran homelessness. I was able to gain valuable experience in the entertainment business working on Duck Dynasty, Pitch Perfect 3, and producing Flea Market Fanatics.

Now I have linked up with a brilliant writer named Craig Reed (Retired Navy Lieutenant commander (LCDR) ) to write a series on the plight of homeless veterans and the volunteers who try to help them. We need your help to give them a voice and tell their story by making the series Missing in Paradise™. Please read below and consider donating.

                                                                                                     The Reason
No Veteran Should Be Without a Place to Call Home
. Just over 9% of all adults experiencing homelessness in the United States are Veterans of the U.S. military. That means that on any given night, over 40,000 Veterans experience homelessness in America. Most Veterans who experience homelessness are men over age 50 and Veteran women are more than twice as likely as non-Veteran women to experience homelessness.

                                                                                                         The Story
Missing in Paradise
is a series inspired by true events that tells the story of a small group of volunteers – all veterans – who work together to help homeless U.S. veterans get off the streets and back into society.

While the Missing in Paradise is a gritty, mainly positive series, not every episode will end up in triumph for the homeless veteran or the team. This is inspired by real life stories, and not every mission will be a success. Each episode will highlight different aspects of homelessness (education, health issues, identification issues, substance abuse, malnutrition, crime, voter fraud, societal attitudes towards LBGTQ veterans, racism, and so on), as well as showcasing the different assistance groups, their different offerings, and how they interact.

The show is written and produced by Veterans with the assistance of caring citizens who have first hand knowledge of what homeless veterans experience on any given day. The cast and crew will consist of veterans and citizens who have already dedicated large amounts of time towards helping veterans.

The goal is to raise enough money to cover production costs to film the pilot episode in late Spring 2020. Any additional funds will go towards future production of other episodes and helping our veterans.
