Homeless Vet's Plea: Recover from Fire

I'm a homeless vet. Fire destroyed the last of everything I had. I don't expect much, but if someone can help me with money to get on my feet somewhere else, I'd be eternally grateful. Food and rent to get started and I can move on. Thank you for reading.

You need to be at a single address for 6+ months to receive help. This means homeless people are screwed.

Everything I had stored while I attempt to get my life together was destroyed. It wasn't much. Some clothes, electronics, a couple books and paperwork. But it was all I had.

If anyone is curious I have a dream to complete university and work on medical research to assist in disease research. Particular cancers. I believe there will be a domino effect once we really figure out some of the issues with things like stem cells and we can have a bright medical tech bloom in the future. I would like to help with that. I think it will enable me to help society the most in a way I believe I can.
